On 22 June a delegation of parents, teachers, and principals presented a petition signed by over 37,000 New Zealanders expressing their deep concern over the Government's National Standards. Catherine Delahunty and Trevor Mallard were there to receive it, although representatives of the other political parties had also been invited.
