This man is a menace to our country and (literally) to the planet. He needs to go join Carter building habitats for humanity....he might learn something if he actually had to work for a living.

For the bone heads below blaming bush, shame on you. Obama is a useless, pathetic, incompetent, lieing, racist. For anyone that still supports him I encourage them to get help. Looks like most of us have know or are beginning to see what a disaster this man is. This video is great! What about are new health care "tax" just another lie by this fool.

He isn't leading, he is following orders.... this whole disaster is orchestrated by George Soros. (a communist billionaire who made his dough on weapons and crashing the british pound - guess what he is doing now?) it's all a plan to destroy America and the dollar for "global governance" = global communism! THe plan is to cancel our oil drilling and send all drilling to Brazil. where Soros invested in Petrobras (state owned oil co that found a new oil reserve deep u;nderwater outside of Brazil) Soros got Obama to promise Petrobras $2billion investment ..... then they got BP to put $20 Billion in an account - guess where $2B is going....? meanwhile all other oil rigs in Gulf is moving on down to Brazil - just as planned....while US looses jobs, $$$, industry, our environment. Speaking of..... the goal here is to push through Cap and trade... = taxing the air we breath....for more control of the world.... but wasn't Cap & trade supposed to "save" the environment....? NO - has nothing to do with it. it's all about money and control and communism. They have no regard for anyone or the environment. it's all a scam
  • Damon Weese 1 year ago
as much as most govt actions are in some sense a scam, it certainly does not have anything to do with communism.

Don't get caught up in the propaganda. The environment is much better off with Obama, than is was with Bush. Personally I would like to see drilling stop worldwide. The technology is here, to do anything we want with Electric, and with Solar, and wind power always available, it seems silly that any government would allow the current staus Quo.

By the way, there is a way to stop this spill instantly - C4 = explosives. blow it up from below the bottom of the ocean. it would shut the whole. it could have been done day two.
  • Patrick McKeever 1 year ago
Karen, I like the way you think. Actually, the only way you can shut this spill down with explosives would be a bomb and no one really knows what the outcome would be. It could make things worse.

Explosives are used to blow out oilfield fires. After that the well is still gushing with oil or gas, depending what kind of well it is. Once you have blown out the fire, you have to stab a valve assembly over the well if you can find something to stab it onto. Once the valve is stabbed and secured, you simply close the valve and Bob's your uncle.

We have all heard about this blowout ad nauseum and it is a real bear. If BP actually shut it down, I believe they would be forced to abandon the formation which we know is hugh. If, however, they are able to drill into the formation, they can establish a subsea well and produce from it once they have developed that field and installed a floating production hub or spar. That is just a theory but it seems plausible to me.
  • Amos Manning 1 year ago
To paraphrase Trey Hicks "Obama IS a menace to our country and the world".
    Now politics aside:
Karen, explosives have been successfully used to extinguish oil blowouts/fires on land rigs by robbing the blaze temporarily of oxygen allowing workers access to the wellhead. Russia has stopped subsea blowouts by using 'nuclear' explosions to collapse the formations, a very risky solution that involves many considerations as pointsd out by Nickd457. I was a 'mud engineer' on an exploratory well back in the early '80's that suffered an 'external' blowout (where gas starts coming up around the outside of the well and aerates the water making it impossible for the rig to stay afloat) and had to shut the well in and hastily retreat. Fortunately the well sanded itself up.(sealed itself with formation debris loosened by it's own actions) I have many years of experience in exploratory offshore drilling and am of the belief that most of the fault lies with the arrogance/greed attained from the drilling of many subsequent successful wells in this, what they thought, was now a well-known region. They let their guard down and failed to provide the redundancy required to insure well control.

Great job! Great graphics! Keep up the good work and hopefully get America back in the hands of the people.
  •
  • Nickd457 plus 1 year ago
Karen, the pressure in this wellhead is significant enough to push 30K to 50K barrels of oil against a seafloor pressure of approximately 2250psi. If you were to collapse the well upon itself there could still be enough pressure forcing the oil to the surface. The problem then is instead of having it contained to a wellhead it would be seeping out of the ocean floor. There would be no way to manage it and you could be faced with oil contaminating the gulf for centuries.

Let no one forget that the Conservative voters of the Gulf States have sent a solid block of government-hating, corporation-loving Conservatives to Congress for fifty years. For two generations, those Neanderthals have worked tirelessly to weaken every regulation on corporate behavior. For half a century, they have opposed, blocked, gutted, or subverted every anti-pollution regulation, drilling regulation, workplace safety regulation, reporting regulation, wage regulation, and inspection regulation. They vote to reduce the number of inspectors, reduce research, reduce enforcement, and reduce penalties for corporate misbehavior. Global corporations provide them with bribes, campaign contributions, pretty girls, and really great jobs in case they ever lose an election.

Corporate money is used to finance phony “scientific research” which “proves” that global warming is a myth, that air pollution is caused by cows, that tobacco does not cause cancer, that the “free” market is self-regulating, and that government is incompetent, incapable, evil, and insane by nature. Conservatives in Congress quote these phony findings as if they actually believed them to be true instead of knowing them to be outrageous falsehoods. Only conservative voters are naïve enough to believe that crap.

So welcome to the “free” market, my fellow Americans. Unemployed Southerners are now “free” to move to Arizona and pick crops. In a few years, they will have saved enough to send for their families.

We should put an extra tax on Republican voters and use that money to clean up the Gulf. They are more responsible for this mess than BP. After all, we ALL knew that BP would cheat and cut corners wherever they could, just like every other corporation. Conservatives wink knowingly at corporate corner-cutting and roll their eyes at “tree-hugger” imposed regulations, which are invariably described by them as pointless red tape. Every corporation that is not closely regulated will always shave points, cut corners, and bribe rather than comply.
  • Ron Brahin 1 year ago
James Ellis, You sir are full of crap!

    1. The democrats have been in power much longer then
    the Republicans.

    2. It was environmental groups especially the Sierra Club which lobbied to force drilling in deeper water where they had no experience or safeguards.

    3. It is not out of the realm of possibilities, Obama had the rig sabotaged to get his cap & trade bill through.

    4. As far as phony “scientific research”, you can thank the democratic crooks like former Clinton and Obama budget adviser Franklin Raines owns a key carbon-emissions patent he developed as CEO of the government-sponsored mortgage giant Fannie Mae, positioning him and his partners to make millions of dollars if it is used in any carbon-capping scheme implemented by the Obama administration. (Don't believe me, check it out son)

    5. Obama talks a good game because he knows the liberals will believe him and stand behind him that why the DNC gives them talking points to make sure they all say the same things.

    6. Why would any self respecting person demonize a group of older Americans who have seen through history how communist take overs occur. Because they are aware of the tactics, they have seen them before back in the 1920's. In Germany, In France, in Russia, now England and the USA. They must get rid
of this part of the population and thy will through Health Care. Sarah Palen had it right, "Death Panels".
  • Cara Carroll 1 year ago
Death Panels?!? Have you READ the health care bill or just listened to partisan rhetoric? *facepalm* Do I even have to mention that Germany under Hitler was Socialist, not Communist? When were France and England Communist--I must have missed that?? Did you miss that the Conservatives won power in England??
  •
  • Stephen Merrette 1 year ago
    Wow James.
So let me get this right... the regulation that was the MMS under Barack that did not check on the wells, that gave BP a safety award? The regulation that didn't allow drilling in safer depths but forced rigs to regions that we had not dealt with? The evil conservatives that distrust the government because so far they can't seem to run anything right?... Border protection, post office, medicaid, medicare, social security?

And your answer? more taxes? when they have taken every cent away from you and they still can't get it right should we perhaps borrow some more from China?

And before you point everything at the republicans or conservatives, let's remember who was running the mortgage industry, Dodd & Frank. There is plenty of blame to go around and it all comes down to a completely corrupt government ON BOTH SIDES!!! You need to seriously pull your head out of your butt and realize that taxes and more regulation are not the answer.

Enforce reasonable regulation instead of passing more that won't be enforced like what's there already.

Corporate money for "Scientific Research"? As opposed to my hard earned money confiscated and spent in grants to pump up claims that can't be substantiated and in many cases have been proven wrong so that universities and Al Gore can make more money? The sky is falling.

The free market works if government doesn't meddle with it. Introduce realistic regulations, enforce them, and let the strong survive and the weak fall by the wayside rather than chosing who wins and who doesn't like they presently do.

The other options are socialsim and/or communism and I hate to let you down but they have never ever worked, ever. I welcome you to provide proof of any socialistic or communistic society that has ever worked well and provides the opportunity to excel with hard work and perserverance like could be done with a true free market, again not the government tainted free market we have and have had for some time now.

By the way the socialist messiah, Obama, was the one who let this one happen. His watch, his administration, his mess. I know that must just eat you up inside but it is that way, accept it, suck it up and deal with it.

  • OK, so what you're saying is this douchebag is so much worse than that last douchebag? So, should we try to find a totally new douchebag to vote for that will make perfect decisions in all large-scale disasters?

The truth is that no president—Democrat, Republican, Man From Mars—will escape criticism with any incident that can possibly be spun to cause political damage.

The average American is not intelligent enough to know they're being manipulated to watch beyond the next commercial break, buy more Tide detergent or vote a certain way. (If you think I am a Communist for saying such a thing, then you are among that group of Americans.)

Vimeo has attracted some very polished spin doctors from all long the political spectrum (basically mirroring the entire TV news media only you losers are the ones not making any money with it).

Has anyone ever noticed that no one in this current administration has taken responsibility for ANYTHING except blaming Bush for EVERYTHING that is has gone wrong since Obama took office? How many more years is going to go be before they have to fess up and admit that all they're interested in is staying in office and filling their pockets at our expense.

The spill in the Gulf happened. Obama hasn't done anything to GET IT STOPPED OR CLEANED UP! He and his cronies have done nothing but blame Bush for it happening. IT HAPPENED......GET OVER IT!

Now, what is Obama going to do to get it stopped? He could have had it contained had he lifted the Jones act immediately after it happened. Bush (the guy who caused the leak to happen.........NOT!) lifted the Jones Act 2 days after Katrina. Why did it take Obama over 2 months to accept help from other countries? DUHHHH!!Let me answer that question REALLY SLOW so you, James, can understand it. OBAMA HAS AN AGENDA TO TAKE THIS COUNTRY DOWN!!!!! He has been correct on the one and only statement he made 3 days before he was elected...." WE ARE WITHIN 3 DAYS OF CHANGING THE FACE OF AMERICA." WOW!! WAS HE RIGHT ON? That's not exactly what everybody thought he meant.

Can you, James or any other of you Bush bashers, name ANYTHING that he and his democrat buddies in congress have accomplished since they got control of congress? Bail outs? Stimulus Package? Promise to not raise taxes? Lower the deficit? Have the most "transparent" administration ever assembled? (You have to remember that he and his buddies drew up the healtcare bill...........BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WITH THE REPUBLICANS LOCKED OUT!! Maybe they should have had glass doors installed so we could have at lease been able to see them stick it to us. TRANSPARENT, RIGHT?

OOOPS!! With China telling him that the United States couldn't afford the healthcare bill, and the overwhelming majority of the population saying, "NO.", he crammed it through right after Pelosi stood up and said in front of God and everybody, "WE NEED TO PASS THIS BILL SO WE CAN FIND OUT WHAT'S IN IT!!!" Wouldn't it be better if they actually read something before passing it? That statement alone should have had her charged with treason!! I REALLY THOUGHT THAT THE POLITICIANS WERE VOTED INTO OFFICE TO DO WHAT WE, THE PEOPLE WANTED DONE........silly me!!! They know what's really best for us, don't they? Too bad that they don't have to use the same healthcare crap they crammed down our throats. They have a separate program........PAID FOR BY US!!!

How about ENFORCING our federal laws? You would think that the president of the United States would accomplish at least that!! Keep illeagal aliens out of this country. But, if he does that, he won't be able to count on them to vote for the Democrats right after he gives all of them amnesty. If they want to come into this country legally.....no problem!! But, more political BS from Obama with his crooked Chicago political background. That is threaten, bully, and cram!!! (Don't forget....fill your pockets!!)

Obama didn't cause the oil spill. But, it's just another thing that he keeps blaming Bush instead of fixing the problem.

James, please respond with the things that Obama has accomplished (not counting the healthcare fiasco that now has him down as the only president to cram healthcare down the throats of this country, which I'm sure he'll blame Bush for the tax increases to pay for it).

I'll give you a few things to get you started that he and his four stooges (Biden, Pelosi, Reid, and Frank) have accomplished.

    1. Spend money we don't have with no end in sight.
    BUSH'S FAULT, RIGHT?
    2. Explode the deficit, with no end in sight. BUSH'S
    FAULT, RIGHT?
    3. Do everything to make sure independent business
(the backbone of this country) fail because of
added taxes and governmental policies and controls.
(PART OF HIS PLAN TO TAKE THIS COUNTRY DOWN)
    BUSH'S FAULT, RIGHT?
    4. Appoint God knows how many Czars so that he can
bypass them having to be approved by congress, and
pay them as much money as he wants to pay them.
Hey, this country can afford any amount....all we
have to do is print more money.

James, it's going to be a very short list.
  •
  • Dave Grosmann 1 year ago
Corey, both sides are just about as bad as the other. No one wants to do what is best for the country. If it makes the other party look good.........they vote against it. But, it does look like the far left puppets MSNBC, CNN, etc. are at least starting to come down on Obama for doing nothing so correct the problem and clean up the oil spill fiasco.

We do have the best political system in the world..........but it needs an enema! We need to keep voting and find people who will vote and do what's right for the country instead of what's best for their party. We don't need is to to keep electing people to office who only know how to buy votes through giving away freebees. They recently extended unemployment benefits another 16 weeks.......That's an additional 4 months. HOW ABOUT CREATING JOBS THROUGH THE PRIVATE SECTOR.........NOT GOVERNMENT JOBS. And, the people who get that money don't have to do anything but just sit on their butts and get it. Why not make them work for it?.........pick up trash on highways, cut grass on highways or the elderly, etc. YOU DON'T WORK......YOU DON'T GET!! No, all they have to do just sit on their butts and get their benefits.......Hey, maybe the people who get this money might even vote for the politicians who extended the benefits. WOW!!! I may have just hit on something!!!!You've heard the saying, "There's no free lunch." With the jerks who are in there right now, there's absolutely a free lunch for those who receive the money. However, we'll all pay for it in the long run.

The people of this country better figure it out in a hurry and start holding these jerks accountable. Because Obama and his 4 stooges are fast taking us down the tubes. Then everyone will be sitting around saying, "I need some money . I hope the government will help me!" Hey, that has worked in every country that has had socialism and communism. Right?????? NOT!!!!!Well that's exactly where this group is taking us. And we're sitting back and saying, "But, they're taking care of us."

If you believe that, I have some swamp land in Florida I would like to sell you............before the oil reaches it!!

Well now, he was so wonderful a candidate in the campaign when everyone knew he was at best inexperienced. There were all sorts of observations that he was just a boy in the arena of world governing, but, they went ahead and elected him anyway. Just like they elected Bush before him knowing that he too was bad news for America. It does nothing to come back now and say "not happy," ineffective," etc.

I hate to tell all ya Republicans, but it was the LAST Republican that started this off-shore drilling sh*t.
  • Patrick McKeever 1 year ago
J, you really don't have the foggiest about offshore drilling, do you. there was offshore drilling long before "W" came along. He had a small oil company that did land drilling and drilled a lot of dry holes. Not a lot of water in west Texas.

His father owned Zapata Drilling at one time. They did offshore drilling but by no means started it.

And before you start whinning about Halibourton and Cheny, know that it cost Cheny millions to leave Hallibourton to serve as VP. Like him or not, he sacrificed a lot.

No question, the BP spill is a disaster for the fishing industry in La. Most of them realize that the oil platforms in the Gulf have created an abundance of sealife that you won't find anywhere else in the world. Each platform is like a reef that creats its own eco system. Yeah, those shrimpers, snapper fishermen, oystermen and game fishermen are all pissed off but ask any of them if they want to shut down offshore drilling and almost to the man, they'll tell you, no. They realize how vital the oil industry is to the economy of the Gulf states. And they know what most people who don't have their heads up their asses, that oil and gas is still the cheapest form of energy around.

    So, get a clue.
  • harold lowe 1 year ago
Exactly right Patrick, the offshore drilling started in the 50s. The intellectual dishonesty of the koolaid drinkers is sickening......
  •
  • Henry Priebe 1 year ago
J E: The liberals have forced drilling off-shore, waaay off-shore into mile-deep ocean where we have little control when things go wrong instead of drilling on land in relatively easy to deal with places like Montana and Alaska. Thanks eco-whackos, this has worked out just great for our environment.

This is such an incredibly perfect storm. Force drilling out into insane depths, don't bother making sure it is safe, when a disaster happens do everything you can to prevent swift and prudent action, blame everyone else for the problem, use the newly created and prolonged crisis to punish the "evil" oil companies, punish the republican leaning states and to ram through hyper-partisan legislation that will push the country further toward communism, further centralize political power in the executive branch of government and enrich a select group of cronies.

Too bad the American People have finally woken up and started to see this bunch of incompetent and corrupt politicians for what they really are. Republicans definitely suck, but they don't suck half as much as the current crop of democrat douche bags that are currently running the show.

Ron Brahin, please explain the logic behind your point #3 (Obama sabotaged the rig to get cap and trade passed).

I fail to understand how this is Obama's fault. Or Bush's fault. Or the Democrats. Or the Republicans. Or Ralph Nader. The oil spill is BP's responsibility. Politicians do not have the expertise to manage and control such an environmental disaster while the oil companies do.

About the Democrats passing healthcare without Republicans--they did, because the Republicans said they wanted to part of it! When the party in power, Democrat/Republican/other, sets an agenda they get to push it through. Republicans did that many times when they were in charge, so what happened with health care was nothing new under the sun.

Someone please explain to me how this oil spill has helped Democrats, or labor, or anyone for that matter. Does Obama secretly own stock in the company that produces boom? Does he own a fleet of previously inactive skimmers? Is he secretly lobbying for import of Asian seafood and trying to take out the competition by killing the Gulf?
  • Patrick McKeever 1 year ago
Well...as the great Ronaldus Maximus used to say, right before saying something brilliant. The Dems, so far, haven't profited from or been hurt by, the oil spill-that is unless you take into account how painfully slow the Obama administration was to react to the clean-up.

I do believe they have drug their feet in hopes of causing a greater environmental disaster so their Cap and Tax bill will be more palpable to the public. Rahm Emmanuel says not to let a disaster go to waste. Do I think Obama would be this Machiavellian? Yes I do.

BP has its hands full trying to stop the flow and it will eventually have to pay for the clean-up. The people along the Gulf coast understand that they can't sit on their hands and wait for BP to keep the oil off their shores. They don't have the resources and what they have tried has been obstructed by the feds, either the EPA or the Army Corps of Engineers, etc.

Only the federal government has the ability to set into motion the foreign skimmer ships that have been offered and the Army Corp of Engineers and whatever the hell else needs doing to stop the oil from reaching our shores. A stroke of the pen can suspend the Jones Act, but we don't want to upset the unions. Obama's inability to act decisively in a crisis is unfathomable but then, what can you expect from a person who has never so much as run a snow cone stand?

No, the oil spill is not Obama's fault but don't be surprised if he attempts to make political hay out of it.

Obama is the eptiome of the worthless political self serving leach -- and we have many in our government -- but I think deserving of the title

"Grand Poo Bah" – Barack Obama

A Poo Bah is an overbearing and pompous authority, often claiming numerous titles, roles or distinctions and frequently overplaying their hand. An “overstuffed” shirt. Someone who expects others to lick up to them for nothing. From a character in the 1885 Gilbert and Sullivan operetta The Mikado. In this comic opera Pooh Bah holds numerous exalted offices, including "First Lord of the Treasury, Lord Chief Justice, Commander-in-Chief, Lord High Admiral... Archbishop of Titipu, and Lord Mayor" and Lord High Everything Else. The name has come to be used as a mocking title for someone self-important or high-ranking and who exhibits an inflated self-regard.

If you want to get the job done right, you have to do it yourself. 2016, President, Candidate: ME. We aren't going to get shit done right in this country for the majority of Americans until we get these corporate sucking soul-less zombie career lawyers out of office and out of our government. Democrats, Republicans, you can have them both as far as I am concerned. You are NEVER going to get a "better candidate" if you are just willing to sit on your couch watching TV or come to this website and type on your computer, or pick from the lame choices that both parties continue to offer up. If I have to pick a party, fine: Democrats and only because at least the government is supposed to work for us. The Republicans want to just hand over America to the private sector who, of course, always has our best interests at heart. Right?

NO. The private sector exists for one reason and one reason alone and that's to make money. Period. End of discussion. The private sector is out to make money, any way they can, as fast as they can, without regard to anything or anyone else, and they are beholden to NO ONE except when our government steps in and sets out some guidelines by law. If it were up to business, we wouldn't even have things like "fire codes" or pesky "safety regulations". Go back and read your history if you don't believe me. In the 1700s and 1800s business owners just let fires happen because 1,000 low skilled children and woman can easily be replaced. The Democrats just want to raise taxes and socialize everything, very true and also a very crappy policy, but the Republicans don't really have a lot to be proud of either when they rack up a trillion dollars in debt fighting two wars in the middle East when they could have got the damn job done right the first time around under Bush I (41) by taking out Saddam Hussein when we had him in our gun sights on him (literally). We could have then got on with the real task at had which was (and still is) IRAN. Instead, our government, led by Bush I half-assed the Persian Gulf War and tried to make peace with a hostile dictator because we had invested a lot of money in him to fight Iran.

Well, he fought Iran in the 1980s and he LOST. We should have cut our losses in 1991 and just taken him out. That takes some leadership (which is what we are griping about in this column, aren't we?) So Bush 2 (43) had to come in and try and fix this mess so he takes 9/11 and uses it to make up a story about WMDs in Iraq and then underballs the cost estimates to get Americans pissed off enough to back a bogus war and get us back into the Persian gulf to undo the mess his father created.

Bush 41, Bush 43, Obama, does it really matter who is up there in the oval office? What party they are from? Seriously? These guys are a bunch of ivy league, major league morons! You want good leadership? Go back and read about Emperor Justinian or Genghis Khan. Those guys knew how to run an empire. Justinian was responsible for codifying the law so that everyone lived under the rule of law, collectively known as the Corpus Juris Civilis which later became British Common Law and eventually formed the basis for our own government. Genghis Khan was not only a brutal military tactician, but he also knew that if he was going to earn the loyalty of his people he had to give something back, so he did 3 things: 1) He allowed people to keep their religious freedom and even called for religious councils for people of various faiths to work out their disputes, 2) He let everyone have freedom of vocation so that people were happy with their jobs and 3) He took all the wealth he obtained and split it equally among his people and actually improved the quality of people's lives. He became so popular that in some cases people he was aiming to conquer just joined his empire without a fight because they wanted a better life. Of course when he died his two sons, who were greedy, destroyed what he had built.

So what's the lesson? The lesson is that we have blown the shit out of Afghanistan twice (once fighting the Soviet Union) and a second time now. We go in, we kill, we try and superimpose our set of values (religion) over a people who don't want it, we burn down their poppy fields, blow up their schools (accidentally, of course) and then we leave them with nothing. And you expect to win these people over to our side? If we were smart, we'd call up Dick Cheney and say "Hey, Dick, these guys have a TON of natural resources here and we can make scads of money off mining those resources, and then we can buy these people off, but we're going to need Haliburton to come in and build some lithium mines for us. You think you can swing that? Don't worry about security. The US Army and Marines have your back." Then, while we are kicking the Taliban's ass, you start creating ways for the Afghan people to get rich, and you buy their loyalty! When people start seeing their country get rebuilt and they start seeing money in their pockets after decades of piss poor poverty, they are going to finally say "It's about damn time!". Oh, and if the Russians don't like Afghan heroin production, you tell them fine, if you want us to take care of your drug problem, why don't you pony up some troops and help us get rid of Al Qaeda! You don't get something for nothing, Russia.

Enough about that. If I were Obama with this oil spill, I know exactly what I would have done, and that's to enlist the help of anyone who wanted to come to our aid, or had proven technology to fix the problem, and then just bill BP for the operation. Real simple. Save the gulf, declare the entire coast a disaster zone, and then identify all the red tape that was getting the way of the cleanup effort and put it into a "care package". That "care package" would then be sent over to Congress with a note stuck to it saying "fix this". If Congress refuses, then you invoke an executive order to get the job done on the basis of national security (like losing 30% of America's seafood supply) and if Congress wants to impeach you for violation of the separations of powers clauses in the Constitution, then let them! When they impeach a President who is obviously working hard for the American people, the Congress is going to get egg on their face for failing to act when they had the chance, and then impeaching a President for what? Doing his job? Then it's their problem. But you are only going to get a President who will do this when people quit thinking about 2 terms. I think there should be term limits on all of them, but then they aren't going to make that rule for themselves.

We have to start somewhere, so I say lets start with the President. That's only 1 person to elect vs. 534+ members of Congress. Finally, if you think you can do a better job than the person who is in office you owe it to yourself and every other American to run for office. Win or lose, or draw that's a lot better than expecting mediocre people who happen to get elected to actually be competent in doing their jobs. These guys don't have a clue. They really don't. Anyway, that's my opinion and I don't care if I sound pissed off, because I am. Best regards, Louis.

When Obama was sworn in as President, he was anointed. That's why they call him the Anointed One, but unfortunately they used Bullshit to do the anointing.

Let no one forget that the ignorant democrat voters of the rust-belt and welfare-dependent States have sent a solid block of government-expanding, corporation-hating “progressives” to Congress for fifty years. For two generations, those Neanderthals have worked tirelessly to weaken every corporation and business even though that is the source of their wild spending. For half a century, they have opposed, blocked, gutted, or subverted every possible business entity while government entities become more incompetent, if that is possible.

Tax-payers money is used to finance phony “scientific research” which “proves” that global warming (a.k.a summer) is a threat to the United States but no other country. The solution is to cripple the U. S. economy while having no effect on any other country, like China that pollutes more in a day that the U.S. does in a year. Liberals in Congress quote these phony findings as if they actually believed them instead of knowing them to be outrageous falsehoods. Only democrat voters who are afraid of everything, including personal responsibility, personal accountability, and personal decision making, are naïve enough to believe that crap.

So welcome to the “no longer free” market, my fellow Americans. Unemployed residents of democrat controlled states are now “free” to move to any where to seek a better life. Democrats will stay put waiting on the next handout. The productive will leave the democrat-controlled states and continue to make the conservative-controlled states even more successful than they already are. In a few years, they will be asking themselves, why did I buy into the something-for-nothing song of the democrats.

We should put an extra tax on democrat voters, except that most of them don’t pay any federal taxes. Conservative states should add taxes to build walls around the states to keep the democrat, welfare, government dependent class away. After all, democrat officials and their constituents are responsible for the financial messes at the city, county, state, education, and federal levels. After all, we ALL knew that democrats would cheat to enrich themselves while bankrupting their government entity. Democrats voters wink knowingly at the idiotic ideas of their democrat elected officials, thinking that the rules will never apply to them but which are invariably involved with pointless red tape so that the average democrat can never figure it out. Every democrat official will always shave points, cut corners, and bribe because they know their constituents are too busy watching Oprah and the Home Shopping Network and will never see behind the curtain to figure out what is about to be done to them.

Well since the people of the oil affected states vote anti-environment pro-oil pro-greed and they didn't vote for Obama. F- Them. I hope they die covered in oil. The animals are innocent and deserve better treatment. But I don't want one dime of my tax money going to the gulf states to pay for the clean up or to help the people. They screwed themselves. This is BUSH-CHENEY's fault anyway. So who freaking cares? Wish I could cut out New Orleans and move it somewhere else then nuke the rest down there.

Constructive criticism is good. We should always watch our leaders carefully.

But, misinformation is not good. We need accurate info to make informed decisions.

It took me 2 minutes to find at least some of the facts in this video are not right (I don't know about the rest)

    Sigh.

It might have been nice of Obama had handled this mess in a different way. But, I don't exactly see how a Republican or Conservative government would have done much better. They don't exactly have a pro-environment background. Would McCain and Palin (Ms. Drill Baby Drill) have been strong with this corporation, BP, and seek stiff reparations? I doubt it. Palin would be out there screaming how we need to drill more because these wells are so unreliable and we need to keep the oil flowing!

Woweee!!! I will not bash Bush, or the commentary that sounds like it came from the KKK.

I would think these people who say all the bad things about Obama, are not looking at the entire picture.

If the stuff being said about Obama in this video are true, then where is the substance. There were some good points that weren't being backed up.

I do agree with the comment that the Government is corrupt on both sides. Which I will not affiliate myself with any political party.

This video looks like, and sounds like Obama bashing. Due to the one-sided nature of the commentary, without substance behind it.

I think Obama could have handled it better, but it is nothing compared to the damage that Bush did.

All of you pointing fingers in the video, did not even try to point towards BP. They must be investors that don't like the sanctions and fines they are, and will be getting.

The last 18 months have definitely showed how easily fooled ppl can be by rhetoric and the Rush Limbaugh/Glenn Beck crowd.

They didnt give a damn about the circumstances over the last 10 yrs that created this mess.

They call everyone tree huggers for speaking out about the enviorment....and now suddenly theyre all concerned about the enviorment.
    Hypocrites.

it's about time the right jumped on the mike moore style propaganda videos. welcome to the club ... 12 years late. excellent video showing the impotence of our 'comingler in chief'. Were I in the military, I'd bring the troops across the Rubicon and dethrone our dark prince with celerity never before seen in American politics. Your reign is coming to a fast close mr. president. enjoy your last 2 years of demolishing our fair repbulic. you've confirmed every stereotype that preceded your election and I'm confident no american with half a brain will vote for you in 2012. Therein lies the problem: 2 of 3 amercians aren't really americans nor do they possess the requisite mental skills to operate a anything but the remote to their gov't subsidized tv and gov't subsidized cable...yet we allow them to vote. Costa Rica, umm yess, do you have a resort available? ... Forever?

Best of luck to our first foreign president. Maybe the peaceful Islamic countries of the world will offer help that is good enough for this "leader" to accept. We can't be seen doing biz with the dutch, they're all perverts and druggies over there, right?

    Foreeeeeeee!

This man will be the undoing of our Republic. His steps have continued to bring us to the edge of disaster. We will either coalesce into a group that will stand up for our freedoms, or we will continue to be spintered by people like him that will inevitably end this Republic, same as what happened to the Roman empire.
Good luck to all who will soon enough find out how to speak in foreign tounges and be forced to pray to a God that you do not believe in.

Obama should have immediately formed a Blue Ribbon committee where he appointed Dick Cheney and Sarah Plain to manage the oil spill.

Pretty simple if you ask me.

Those in control have those who are not chasing ghosts in the name of a politician, any politician, who is expendable for the purpose of giving us a momentary, albeit small victory, to appease us.

When we get such a moment we lose focus on what is really going on.

The destruction of America is imminent if we the people do not exercise our power as voters to remove the criminals who, to this point have taken us here.

Vote to remove them, or soon we will have no vote.
