The public office of U.S. Congressman Kenny Marchant offers the opportunity for veterans in the 24th district to participate in the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project. The project preserves and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may better understand the realities of war.

Lloyd Lewellen is a local veteran who gave Rep. Marchant's office permission to share his video with you. Lloyd served in the Navy during WWII. In listening to his story, you'll learn he witnessed Gen. Douglas MacArthur step out on the Philippines, an event captured in a famous war photo. If you are a veteran in the 24th district who would like to participate, please contact my veterans and military affairs liaison, John Hayes at 972-556-0162.
