Napoleon Gomez - Interview at International Labor Congress

This is my interview with Napoleon Gomez Urrutia the President of Los Mineros, the independent miners union of Mexico. It was made June 22, 2010 in Vancouver, Canada at the second congress of the International Trade Union Confederation (TTUC). In it he talks about the recent use of Mexican police and federal troops in breaking a miners strike in Cananea Mexico and the international solidarity that has developed to support the miners. He also talks about measures under way to merge his union with the United Steelworkers union in the US and Canada to form a new North American union.
