Welcome to this short video presentation of how Adlib PDF for SharePoint and Nintex Workflow can be used together to automated business processes in SharePoint.
Adlib Software develops technology to automate business processes that require the conversion of documents to PDF. We create enterprise grade, server-based products that provide document transformation services to organizations with challenging business problems due to high volumes of content or regulatory compliance.
SharePoint is designed to control the 90% of an organization’s data that is unstructured. However, there are challenges in taking this variety and volume of unstructured data and turning it into useful information for people.Adlib software solves these document challenges by providing enterprise document transformation services that Convert, Combine and Enhance unstructured data into the right format for people to use.
Our Adlib PDF for SharePoint product delivers enterprise document transformation services to the SharePoint Platform.
We extend SharePoint with the most comprehensive set of PDF services to automate conversion of documents in SharePoint.
Convert MS Office and hundreds of file types to PDF
Convert scanned documents to searchable PDF with OCR
Combine multiple documents of various formats into a single PDF file
Enhance with Watermarks, Headers/Footers, Table of Contents
In this demonstration, I will show how Nintex Workflow can be used with Adlib PDF for SharePoint to create workflows that include converting documents to PDF.
Nintex is very easy to use, it provides an intuitive, graphical web browser interface that allows you to build complex workflows quickly and easily. Within minutes of installing it I was able to create a simple approve and publish workflow . This workflow :
• Requests approval of the selected document
• If approved, is sets the Document Status metadata column to TRUE and converts the document to PDF for distribution.
The integration between Adlib and Nintex makes it very easy to add document rendering to your workflows. You simply insert a “Start Workflow” Action into the workflow you are building in Nintex, and then configure it to invoke any of the Adlib workflows for SharePoint that are deployed on your system. A list will automatically appear within the Configure Action window in the Nintex interface to select the appropriate Adlib Conversion workflow.
I can configure the workflow item to show that an Adlib Convert to PDF workflow will be started on the selected document.
By publishing the workflow, it will become available in my SharePoint document library.
