As their founding member, Collins' legendary bands The Nerves and The Beat continue to be worshipped by new generations of hipsters, indie rockers, punks and music lovers worldwide. With the help of The White Stripes producer Jim Diamond, legendary rock band The Paul Collins Beat have a new album available on CD, vinyl and mp3 download formats.

With concerts booked into next year, The Paul Collins Beat are embarking on a world tour, performing songs from Collins' massive career with his bands The Beat, The Nerves, The Breakaways and solo projects with The Paul Collins Band. Today, The Beat are commonly known as The Paul Collins Beat.

Underground rock icon and cult favorite Paul Collins founded The Nerves with Peter Case and Jack Lee in 1974. The Nerves funded their own independent recordings, toured with The Ramones and released Hanging On The Telephone, a hit song which has been covered by Cat Power, Def Leppard and Blondie, on their Parallel Lines album. After The Nerves disbanded in 1977, Paul Collins formed The Beat, recruiting members of various rock bands such as Television, Patti Smith, Willie Nile and Elton John's group.

The Beat were music video pioneers, with several 80s music videos appearing on early MTV and touring the world, performing with major rock acts such as The Cure, The Police, The Jam, Devo, Huey Lewis and countless others. Today, Paul Collins Beat continues to play hundreds of concerts each year, touring USA, Japan, Canada, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Sweden, France, UK and throughout Europe.
