Aynalem Zenebe was seven years old when a cluster munition strike hit the Ayder school. She lost a leg: her two older sisters and one brother were injured as well.

“I do not want to see other people facing the same problems as I have because of cluster bombs,” said
Zenebe at the Kampala Conference in September 2008.
Zenebe, now 18 years old, is a student at a vocational school in Mekele where she lives with her family. She joined the Ban Advocates initiative in September 2008.
