Special thanks to rastAsia who helped me out here to open my Dutch spoken video to the Vimeo community: great English translation of the original difficult dutch script, he also recorded his own voice, wich fits very well to the original idea of the video.

Original Dutch version: vimeo.com/1112318

Much better than subtitles in this case.

Oh yes, I love that little tree :)
A moment of poetry.

I didn't upgrade to HD from SD to keep full quality of the visuals.

Thank you Brian for the support, watching my thing again and rasta will be happy with your positve comment on his narration I think
A good audiophonic voice is very impotant :)
  • rastAsia 3 months ago
Hahaha... audiophonic?? Its just a voice. Could be anybody's really.
Just got to have clear and audible pronunciation if its for the masses.
Mine is of no comparison to the original voice. I enjoyed the creative interaction.
Props to those who enjoy this version too. Thx Brian.
And thanks to Vimeo for making this kinda exchange/interaction possible.

What a phenomenal collaboration, guys. Seeing this piece evolve from its first appearance on Vimeo has been an invaluable experience.

    Simply breathtaking.

    Keep breathing Fabian.
It took a while to settle the thing down, but as in any other project it's not just point shoot and show. A video must take the time to grow, just like my little tree :)

Oooo I love the golden grass - beautiful. And the trees are different there than the ones here :) I love the shot with just one tree against the sky and the hills in the background. And the mosquitoes too :)

Oh the voice-over worked really well. I loved it! Thanks for sharing it with me :)
  • Pierre 1 month ago
Thnx Lydia for that nice comment coming from you.
And yes, the mosquitoes wasn't an easy one: took a long time to get the focus right :)
