I had shown the ” Scotland video” here already.
I was not entirely satisfied with the old version. So here is a revised one. Hope you like it. I'm sorry for the already given comments and "likes".

Is this time lapse? Im new to this. How do you pan or glide your shots if they are static images?
thanks
Yes, it is mainly time-lapse. I have added the movement later in After Effects. I try to explain it: My video has a resolution of 1280 X 720px. I scale my photos now, for example to 1480 X 720px.I can move this "larger" photo sequence from left to right in After Effects.
its a lot of work to make hdr timelapses right?
p.s. good video ;)
Do you have any tips on time lapse. Ive never actually tried it and mostly do video and speed it up but im thinking the time lapse is more practical and i actually prefer the look to it, rather than video.
Do you use the original canon shutter timer cord?
Thanks Ben
It is important to make all the camera settings manually. Otherwise, the images flicker..., and of course you need a tripod.
I´ve used a JJC Timer
Thanks.
Them apart a good DSLR (Canon 5d II, Canon 7D) has a better video quality than a camcorder.
I made the video with the Nikon D90. The video quality is not as good as a Canon.
Why not all camcorders have function of interval rec, to do timelapse? can you teach me?
if youre simply just taking a large sequence, how do you avoid the shutter lag after taking like 20 shots of whatever it is. do you know what i mean? like the buffer filling up and the shutter slowing down the frame rate after a while.
You mean the serial shot function?
You must set the photo quality to "Norm" and the size to "Small". In addition You need a fast memory card (6 Class Card)
But I think you cannot prevent it entirely.
In time lapse you don't take 20 shots at once.
You set the timer for example: Shoot 1 Picture every Minute. So the camera has enough time to save the picture and take the next in the next minute.
Btw, great video, which camera did you choose?
I´ve done it with the D90.
like, 2-3 secs for slow clouds.
5-6 secs for fast clouds etc etc?
what about when you want to time lapse folk walking?
and is there also an optimum shutter speed setting with time lapse?
Thanks again
Folk walking: every second one photo with a long shutter speed.
Have a look at this tutorial: content.photojojo.com/tutorials/ultimate-guide-to-time-lapse-photography/
LOVE IT...
0:59, were those crabs moving on the rocks?
You're the first who has noticed it. No, there were no crabs but thousands of snails. I noticed till at home that they all have moved.
Camera was set on manual with a shutter speed of 1/1000th. There seems to be a slight change in exposure, or is that simply the sun passing over the clouds? Does it look smooth enough or is there something im doing wrong? Any tips would be appreciated
Thanks

I particularly like the colour grading and vignettes.
Well paced and right length. Good indeed.
Could you tell me how you achieved the really rich colours.
For the photo sequences: Photoshop: Blending modes, masks, and curves...
I love the movement of the seeweed in the foreground at the loch.
Are you batch editing the stills in photoshop?
Thanks for commenting.
Yes, I have edited the stills in Photoshop via batch.
I really like the landscape colours, each still in this video could stand alone as a quality landscape photo.
I wonder if there is any chance you could share your photoshop workflow with me?
I know its a big ask!
at 0:55 sec what sort of shutter speed and interval were you using, im going down to the west coast of ireland next week and i'll be timelapsing and that type of shot is one that ive been wanting to do for a while
:))))))))
Beautifully structured, Ben. I love the rove around the hen, a cute touch!
Thanks
It is mainly HDR in time lapse. Post production with photoshop...
is there a way to add your brilliant system on a tripod like the one we see on the Kessler CineSlider (there's a vid on the website at : tomguilmette.com/wp/onlinefilm-gallery/equipment-reviews/kessler-cineslider-portable-dolly-system)
i think i'm gonna take the chance and buy the stuff you just mentionned before (with all the links) i'm not very clever but seeing the result it's worthit
'wish more guys like you could imagine things like that
it's impressive ..
(i own the new d7000 by the way)
so let's buy all the stuff i'll report all the issues of course
'think it's gonna take up to 3 months to achieve that lol
Love it mate... you da bomb ;)
By the way, I am putting together a DVD of some of the best of Vimeo, just to watch on my TV at home with friends. Could you make this available to download if it is not a problem please?
Thank you very much

The video is highly compressed from Vimeo. I think it is not fun to see it on TV:-(
