This grocery store was flooded after Katrina. 16 months later, it still hasn't been cleaned up and remains a threat to public health and safety.

Amazing. I was there last March and some in our group worked on gutting a house that still had the fridge with 7 month-old moldy food in it. Reportedly the worst smell ever confronted by man, but I bet this store is worse now. The house I worked on had a gas leak that we only noticed after working on it for a day and a half. We had been assured by the city that all the gas was off. Can't imagine that sort of thing has been fixed yet either. Anyway, thanks for these updates from the Crescent City!!
