Guy is a free-lance writer/creative director living in the San Francisco Bay Area where, previously, he ran the creative department at Hoffman|Lewis hoffmanlewis.com . Prior to that he was a group executive creative director at Foote, Cone, Belding in Chicago draftfcb.com .

Guy is probably best known for his tenure at GSD&M gsdm.com where, as executive creative director, he led the agency to its first honors in the Andys, Cannes, Communication Arts, D&AD, the New York Art Directors Club, the One Show and the Radio Mercury Awards.

While there, Adweek magazine named Guy to its Creative All-Star team twice, including once as most valuable player, and Graphis magazine named GSD&M one of the top ten most creative agencies in the world.
