Paradise is ...
This is my favorite little stream, called "Lorax Creek." It is my idea of paradise in an unlikely place. Filmed one early evening near Dallas, Texas.
This was shot as a test of my new Canon Vixia HF10. Edited with Premiere Pro CS3, and with no color-correction. It is simply "raw" footage.

thanks,

The HF10 saves files in the MTS format. I simply copied them off of the memory card and imported them directly into CS3 on my PC. I did NOT use any of the Canon utilities to take the clips off the camera.
MTS files can really bog down a computer, as they can be hard to decompress. There is a really good utility called "AVCHD UpShift" that transcodes the files to a more easily read M2T file. (CS3 will read either one.) "UpShift" is cheap and very effective. If you are having troubles with MTS files, download a trial copy of "UpShift" and see if it helps.
Cheers!
Jim
