Traveling through Nepal was a blast. One of the many joys was being "arrested" several times a day by the police. We were stopped twice on our first day in the country and our driver paid a bribe to let us move on. The "arrests" were so common that we didn't really pay much attention after a few days. A normal bribe was about 100 rupees ($1.00 in 1999).
