For the third straight 4th of July at my home I setup a camera from my East facing balcony hoping to catch something cool from the downtown area. After a few minutes I got bored and started messing around with settings and what not. I pretty much had given up on getting something good and was about to head out to a party when I peeked out the West facing stairwell of my building and saw what appeared to be a non stop war zone of explosions and lights. The amount of fireworks going off all along the tops of the buildings was unreal. After tonight, I will never watch 4th of July fireworks on the East side again.
First 7 seconds is comprised of a still photo taken every 5 seconds. Remaining footage is a video with the playback rate speed up a couple times. The lens used in the portion is a Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens which is making everything look smaller than it really was. It's also out of focus.
