Using the box that makes up the Home Retail Group logo, we created a ‘video’ wall made up of 2,128 individual cardboard boxes, each forming a ‘pixel’ of the screen. Using different colours and textures on the four sides of the box, each box was manually changed by hand to collectively form a word, image or graphic.

The entire series was then photographed in Homebase’s warehouse in Oxford over 3 days and nights. Two cameras were used to record the event, each taking a shot every 30 seconds or so creating a bank of over 10,000 individual images.
