Three timelapse videos of cactus flowers opening in July 2008. View in full screen to see in HD.

These flowers bloom at night and only last one day. This movie spans three consecutive nights. I particularly like the middle clip where you can see the flower from the previous day dying in the background, and the next day's flower growing and preparing to bloom on the right.

    Thanks, UKAT. Each one of these three clips spans about 6 hours. But they really go from closed to open in only about 1 hour.
