The Ohio Regional Training Center is an organization to support an Olympic hopeful in each of the seven weight classes by the London Olympics in 2012. The ORTC supports the athletes so they can have a singular focus on winning the gold medal. While they don't live a lavish life style, the athletes have their housing provided and a monthly stipend to support basic living expenses. We also provide them with some of the top coaches in the world, the best facilities at the Steelwood Athletic Training Center on the Ohio State University campus, and the training partners that can help them reach their full potential.
In September of 2008, The Ohio RTC became charter members with USA Wrestling, the national governing body for the sport of amateur wrestling. Additionally, the organization applied for and received a Regional Training Center designation. The Ohio RTC is ready to align it's vision with USA Wrestling, so that it may be the beacon for all Regional Training Centers. Head National Team Coach, Zeke Jones, and Head Regional Training Center Coach, Lou Rosselli, will work diligently to see that The Ohio RTC has a vertical alignment with The National Freestyle Wrestling Program.
Please help support our organization and you will make a direct impact on the success of these athletes
