In the aftermath of one of the deadliest disasters in modern times, animal welfare organizations formed the Animal Relief Coalition for Haiti (ARCH) so that we could work together to bring aid to as many animals, and in as short a time, as possible. The coalition provided immediate first aid to injured and sick animals following the earthquake and signed a 1.1M dollar Agreement with the Haitian government to restore the country's veterinary capacity and tackle animal/human health concerns. In the first six months of the project, more than 25,000 animals have been treated and vaccinated.
