BURN is a feature documentary about Detroit, told through the eyes of Detroit firefighters, who are charged with the thankless task of saving a city that many have written off as dead.

For more info please visit: detroitfirefilm.org

We shot this trailer in September 2009 to use as a fundraising tool. Because this is a truly independent documentary, we are responsible for raising all the money we need to complete the film.

February 2012 Update: Yes! We are still fundraising! Our Kickstarter campaign will get us to festivals, but we STILL need your support to help pay for the film's many "deliverables" to prepare it for theatrical release. Deliverables are the various items that distributors require for theatrical release, television broadcast and DVD -- thinks like Closed Captioning, creating the DVD masters, and MPAA ratings.

Please donate here: detroitfirefilm.org

We are also still interested in corporate partnerships for the film, which will help with our completion and distribution needs.

Thanks so much!

This is a mighty strong film. It's a critical look at urban decay through the eyes and voices of Detroit's Bravest. I'll forward this link to several of my financial backers.

This is an amazing start to the documentary and I commend you guys for doing this, Detroit needs as many documentaries done about it as possible.

Please take a look at a trailer for a documentary I edited about Detroit last year that was shot on the RED ONE camera.

    Thoughts, in order:
    1) We're doomed
    2) I'm grateful for people who aren't ready to give in
    3) Any story, when well told, is beautiful
