USSR: A Nation In Search of A Soul (1990) was shot on location in the Soviet Union and highlights new opportunities for ministry that arose after Glasnost and Perestroika. Hosted by news anchor Susan Hutchison, the video features pedestrian interviews in Moscow, stories about a radiation-affected family, literature production and distribution, ministry in public schools and orphanages, and concludes with a story about Yakov Dukhonchenko, at that time the leader of the Ukrainian Baptist Union. The video also features several interviews with then-SGA president Peter Deyneka Jr., and encourages the viewer to be involved in sending Bibles.
