This is Isolation C. You probably wouldn't call this isolation, in fact it's just a time lapse of a street. But generally what i'm trying to create overall with these videos is the feeling we get and interpret from some of the works of Edward Hopper. In particular i feel only this way of filming could emphasis some of the working people, street location and mood that he creates.

In Isolation D i hope to produce the isolation in a city, to contrast to all of A, B and C, and end the different ways of viewing solitude.

This is beautiful! Did you do the music, too?

Ah it would be so easy to say yes, but i didn't. It's called Ikebana by Kevin Shields, it was used in the film Lost in Translation.
    Glad you like!

I can remember seeing My Bloody Valentine in the 80's. I was a bit worried about seeing them as I'd heard they played at frequencies that made audiences go deaf. At the start of the gig people were actually complaining they were too quiet, but by the end it was impossible to listen to them without sustaining severe earache. I left early. Pardon, can you say that again?

Hah, i had never heard of that madness. That's really freakish.

Kevin Shields used to be in My Bloody Valentine, just in case anyone is wondering what I am blathering on about in my above post.

I had a similar experience when MBV played in Birmingham (Alabama) in the early 90s. The first twenty minutes of the show consisted of excrutiating, head-splitting feedback. It was fantastic.

Excellent! It's interesting (and I think you've mentioned this before) that there are different types of "isolation". Staring out of the window at the traffic passing below is one of them. Of course, it may be that one of the people in the cars below is feeling "isolated", at the same time. Really brilliant, Sarah -- I love this series!

Yeah, I think this one works well. You chose to include the window frame which was a good idea in trying to reinforce the isolation theme. If the windows had not been there, it would have been quite a different story.

Looking forward to the next one!

Yeah, the window framing really is the key part of this one. It's the link with Edward Hopper. tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/hopper/rm5_wrk4.htm
Just, some of the feelings etc.
    I'm glad you likey:)
