In this punky promo a faux Chinese-made Barbie doll toy is manhandled by first one, and then two, life-sized Kens until Momoko, the singer/songwriter herself, appears giant-sized and gets her own back.
Getting stripped naked, pulled apart limb by limb and done by a duck, Action Man and a pair of scissors, Momo’s Toy effigy rallies back stronger each time – first in the form of a high-speed wardrobe demonstration (featuring everything from a cheeky school uniform to a kung fu fighting outfit) and then in the shape of increasingly bizarre hybrid incarnations, boasting body parts from an array of toys from classic tin robots to vinyl dolls.
Cutting between Momo’s uber-cool, neon nu rave hotel room hangout (Reflections Bangkok), the shocking pink interior of her doll’s house and bold 2D motion graphics sequences, this stop motion story is as spiky as it is technically innovative.
Screened on MTV Thailand, Channel V and True Music.
