This video, a few seconds long, shows how just one vehicle coming off the beach ramp onto Pier Avenue in Oceano can send waves of dust as high as a building. While the beach sand from the tires often blows down Pier Avenue, leaving a trail of dust behind, in this case the wind blew the sand sideways off Pier Avenue toward the residential neighborhood.

A woman with previous respiratory problems, who was staying one block downwind from Pier Avenue was rushed to the hospital because she could not breathe. She had to stay in the hospital until the next day. This video was taken a few days later, on June 20, 2010.
