39. My windowsill // HG10 + Letus35 Mini + EF 100mm f/…
1 year ago
Weather today was sunny mixed with high winds and bursts of rain, so I stayed in just to be on the safe side :)

I wanted to spend time with my toys, though, so I just filmed out my window... I'll be moving to a bigger space soon, so the views should change in a couple months time :)

There is a great and wonderful world to explore through the lenses of our "toys." Often it is as simple as looking out the window. Thanks for the reminder to look close to home for suitable video subjects.

That Bronze Agressive setting is ace isn't it? One of my faves. The shots from 3:15 on are ace, BML on bronze agressive really does metals and woods a great visual favour I think. coupled with the short DoF, there's just something compelling about the way they look. It knackers the green in leaves etc though doesn't it?

On your other vid, I love the track across the stone too. I wonder what setting you used for that one.

Excellent to see this, thanks. Music is ace too.

    Thanks

Yeah, I like a green tint too. The clothes peg and the keys looked good with that setting.

The stone in the other video was with one of the B/W settings and a lot of sharpening (unsharp mask and regular sharpening at the same time).

I'm not sure if I like my leaves as green as they are in some of these shots. I think, I need to get in closer for more detail.

I liked the shallow DOF and the music fit perfectly. Great job with the color correction.

Wow! I wanna see what your camcorder looks like with the letus and macro.. isn't it difficult to carry ?:-O and how can you fit that 58mm filter size macro to a HG10 that has a 43mm filter?:-O

I've added a photo (right side). Hope that answers your question. This video was shot without the 'Rods' mounted. Rods are for mounting the setup on a tripod.

UPDATE: Sorry, this was with rods and tripod. This: vimeo.com/1304929 was handheld without rods...

Wow thats a sweet baby! @_@ Thanks for posting it.. but I'm still wondering how you fit them to your camera?
  • [ PIXEL VIKING ] plus 1 year ago
The Letus35 Mini is sold with a 37mm or 43mm thread. Mine is the 43mm, so the Letus screws right into the HG10.

In the other end, you can have many different mounts to fit whatever lenses you use. I have the Canon EF mount. If you own both Nikon, Canon and Zeiss lenses, you can buy extra mounts (interchangeable).
