The Ex hooked up with one of the most powerful horn sections imaginable for this one-off UK tour and this footage goes someway to capture the experience. We did not know what this EX metamorphosis would conjure up...what happened was wild. The show went off like a rocket from start to finish, the stage a mess of smiles, sweat, bodies and instruments swinging, pumping and firing off each other. The sound pounded audiences into dance. Raw rocky Motown stomps, Konono cover versions, Ex classics and fire jazz all got stewed up.


Brass Unbound comprised Swedish force of nature Mats Gustafsson (saxophone), Chicago jazz heavyweight Ken Vandermark (saxophone), Italian wild card Roy Paci (trumpet) and boundary busting classical/futurist Wolter Wierbos (trombone). 



Zun Zun Egui stormed in as warm up act. Watching The Ex follow them each night was a pivotal experience for them.
