Why did Leeds Metropolitan University choose Google to provide their student email service. The first half of the [presentation will discuss why Google was chosen, the benefits of choosing Google and the business and legal issues which had to be resolved. The project and how we implemented google will also be described. The second half of the presentation will discuss technical issues including why we changed how we authenticate and how we broke Google with timetable data. Some examples of how Google Apps are being used by students and staff to enhance the student experience. The meeting will end with a discussion of the future of Google at Leeds Met.
