Zacuto's Z-Grip iPhone Cinema Kit
Steve Weiss and Jens Bogehegn introduce the next big thing for iPhone Video Shooters with the new Zacuto Z-grip iPhone Cinema Kit. Perfect for iPhone users shooting video, the new handgrip gives a stable point of contact and the articulating arm adds more adjustability. The Kit includes: Zacuto Z-grip iPhone Pro with Articulating Arm to hold the Z-Finder Pro viewfinder. (Note: Z-Finder Pro NOT included)
A perfect addition to the kit is Zacuto's Z-finder Pro which gives you an additional point of contact for even more stability by placing your eye in the viewfinder. The Z-Finder also shades out any light and helps with focusing on the iPhone LCD. Most important, the Z-Finder can quickly be articulated away from the LCD screen by manipulating the articulating arm. Check out the new Z-Grip iPhone Cinema kit at store.zacuto.com/Zgrip-iPhone-Cinema-Kit.html. For more information on the Z-Finder Pro (2.5X or 3.0X) visit zacuto.com/z-finder-dslr-viewfinder

I swear this is the only industry where people get offended if they don't like a product. You wouldn't fault Ferrari for making a $300,000 car. Yes, it's expensive and a bit crazy. Shooting a film on an iPhone is a ridicules endeavor. You can buy a point and shoot with 720p for $195 and have a better picture and way more control. Still folks are asking me for iPhone solutions.
Have a chuckle if it's not for you, please do not be offended, it's not our intention. It's just stuff ;-)
Steve
It's like someone who puts a huge Spoiler on the back of a beat up Ford Festiva, doesn't offend anyone, but man, it sure is ridiculous.
But I hardly understand (and I know some of them) people who buy cheap crap of low end of stuff, not just cell phones to make photos, claiming they "have no" money for better stuff, and than "put" several times bigger money to make something out of that crap...
Same stupidity for me is buying CANON XHA1 (like mine) and than put on 10 times the money for film adapters, lens, tripods, and other stuff. It's still just prosumer camera for run and gun. I need it for weddings (in my country the audience is realy not paying attention on quality - yet). When I film documentary, the HDV format is not good any way, so I rent real rig.
Maybe the answer: People want to shoot with iPhone... They do not want to have greatest picture for a buck, but made it with iPhone... Ok. The iPhone lovers, than. I respect this love. But all upper mentioned people I know is kind who would like to make good stuff but with crapy tool: When I ask them why they spend big money on new cell phone, they are telling me because of 8Mpx camera to make great photos of their work (craftsmen). For the money, they could have great quality separate pocket compact camera and normal cell phone.
heh heh
or maybe for one of those iPhone vid contests or better; mike figgis will shoot Timecode II on it.
