It´s everybodys music and it should be accessable to each and every person. If you want to believe it or not: Even Deaf people can feel and enjoy music! Breitenbach - Waiting is concidered to be the first full accessible music video that aims to visualizes the music itself and to make the song accessible to everyone, no matter if hearing or hearing impaired, from Germany or elsewhere.

The lyrics are equally performed by four deaf artists and the Frankfurt located band BREITENBACH in German sign language (DGS). In addition the lyrics are included as subtitles (at vimeo they are part of the video as there are no option for closed captions yet). The music itself is broken down into the instruments and displayed with "sound bars" in the top of the frame. To get a feeling for the speed of the song we included "beat points" in the bottom.

BREITENBACH with its members Toby, Robby and PogoTS, as well as the four Deaf Performer Fabian, Anna, Okan and Erik demonstrate that the "barriers" between Hearing and Deaf are not as huge as some people say and how easy it is, to burst them. Music can be the key.

This is a self-financed project by Max Heidenfelder.

This Video was shot on Canon 7D, Tokina 17-50mm f2,8
Redrock Micro gear: Follow Focus, Mattebox, Cage, Rods (DSLR CINEMA bundle)
within 2 days.

Post was done on an Apple Mac Pro,
cut in Final Cut 5,
compositing/ keying in After Effects CS3 using Keylight.

Redrock Micro gear: Follow Focus, Mattebox, Cage, Rods (DSLR CINEMA bundle)
an 2 Tagen.

Schnitt in Final Cut 5,
Keying/ Compositing in After Effects CS3.

this idea is unique and awesome.
beside the fact that the song is great, the clip looks fantastic.
I have to test it with one of my deaf friends, hopefully she will feel that song :)

come on, you got an amazing quality with the Tokina,
    which didn´t satisfy me.

Tell me a bit more about the Redrock FollowFocus,
as I still need one (sent my ProAim back as it was much to heavy)

thx for sharing and keep up the stunning work!
