:( Man, After watching that skate video, I wanted more form you, I am dissapointed this video has problems loading...Get it working please!
  • Aron Cohen 3 years ago
It loads up slowly probably because the quality is up in the skies.

I watched it full screen and it's like better than 1080p.
  • Kogvt 3 years ago
RED scarlett records in resolution somewhat 3K px... Its WAAY better then 1080p :D Still Vimeo in HD convert it into 1280x720...
  • Aria Khosravi plus 2 years ago

  •
  • James Kanka 3 years ago
WOW! That is beautiful! What does it take to achieve that look with the RED, besides the camera guy. Lens? Color Correction?

    Incredible!

too bad its like $17,900 for a red camera...
    if only i was rich
  • Aron Cohen 3 years ago
If you think about it... Big studios pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for other digital cinema cameras... Sometimes you can't even buy them, they're only available for rental purposes.

Compared to those the RED is a bargain.

Compared to a Panasonic HVX it's expensive.

Compared to my "high-school-budget" it's impossible to afford. :)

Well, I think it's safe to say Super 16 is officially dead. 120 fps that looks like that is beyond cool.

I am curious about your test to know more about the red, for the slow mo did you have to plan it or this is just the same setting from A- to Z hope you understand my question I am french
  • Dave Christenson plus 3 years ago
just the same as overcranking a film camera...so...yes you would have to plan to shoot for slow motion...
  •
  • guy incognito 3 years ago
    god, that's sick.

  • Danny Mirabal plus 3 years ago
shit is crazy, I think it is worth buying, better than a stupid camcorder! I say---
  •
  • Aron Cohen 3 years ago
    Hell.

I see why they say when you are shooting 4k the question is which EYE you have in focus not which face... gosh it's beautiful.
  • James Martin plus 3 years ago
It's the size of the sensor, not the resolution which does that to the image. (More specifically, it has to do with magnification).

    Still pretty.
  •
  • babozor plus 3 years ago
    The quality is just AMAZING...
  •
  • Justin Gum 3 years ago
This is amazing! How is the workflow with the Red?
  • Patrick Lawler plus 2 years ago
the workflow is complicated but doable. There are like 3 or more different methods, all of which involve editing lower resolution versions of your clips then when you're done editing you render out to the big files and just let your computer sit for a day or so... that is unless you have the expensive Red video card thing.

If you don't mind me asking, who is this music track by? Love the video.
  • Ammonite plus 3 years ago
The track is Teardrop by massive attack.
  •
  • Ammonite plus 3 years ago
Nice work indeed. Most of the stuff I've seen from the red has been with music over it. Excuse my ignorance but does the red also record sound?
  • Patrick Lawler plus 2 years ago
The red does record sound, through mini XLR cables you have to get special adaptors. The sound is great quality BUT the Red only does one kind of timecode which makes it a little more difficult if you're doing external sync sound recording.
  •
  • Matt E plus 3 years ago

So, after reading most of these posts, I will sum it up for you.

    1) Though they are correct about your work, people overuse the term "amazing."
    2) Pretty much everyone is jealous that you have this camera.
3)The comments on this video turned into a discussion about the equipment. This is now officially a RED forum. lol

    Really nice stuff!

So Im in agreaance with a large majority of the

people above. Aside from the fact that the red one

costs right around $25,000.00 Thats right 25g's.

The scarlett is going to be a beautiful camera capable

of shooting well beyond 1080p such as the RedOne,

however, it is geared toward a market that consists

of lower incomed individuals just getting a start on

    independent filming.

In My opinion, its Not the Greatest Idea

to place all of your eggs in one basket.

This is going to sound depressing to some

but just as soon as the newest thing comes

out, there is a new Champion raising his

right arm the next week. Now with that

being said, the mere fact that this camera

has the potential and the ability to shoot

in 4k Raw Quality and is designed to reject

any type of software that reduces even a fraction

of a micrometer of quality information and designed to

    welcome

pure 100% Raw quality of what you filmed is more than

enough to Garner the interest of both consumer level

buyers and Professional level buyers as well. Couple

this with the fact that the designer of this camera has

3 different cameras geared toward 3 different consumer

levels that all share this rare

capability to perform 100% Raw with no synchronized

downgraded, and unecessary B.S., and you've got

True Quality, Practicality, and affordability all wrapped

up in to one package my friend. The Epic has a Fast

Runners HeadStart to Spearhead the Future of

Profesional cinematography. The Scarlett has the

Increasingly Gaining Potential to Spearhead Indie Film

Productions and the Redone stands where those who

have uded it no where it stands. Therefore A so far.

That A can easily be replaced with an d For Defects,

or an F for failure if any of these things trasnpire.

Time will Tell. It looks rugged, and it looks Tough

    though.
