Matt has been training hard almost everyday since getting clearance from his doctors in Salt Lake City back in May. Mountain Biking, skiing, surfing, lifting and water ramping like a maniac. Water ramping has been vital to Matt's recovery process; enabling him to get his air sense back with fewer risks after being grounded for over 8 months. Half an hour drive north of SLC is Park City where one of the best water ramp training facilities in the states can be found. "The freestyle aerials training pool at Park City opened in July 1993, and is the summer training site for many world-class skiers and snowboarders. The pool contains 750,000 gallons of water and is "bubbled" to soften the impact of landing. The highest of the four primary kickers can launch these airborne athletes nearly 70 feet in the air". - Utah Athletic Foundation.
