Looks like iPhone have a huge rolling shutter problems, pretty sure it uses CMOS sensor......... also want to ask you that this vignette you have on your video is in postproduction you added it or it's part of the adapter using causes?
Thanks for posting video specially with all the information about lens info!!!!!!!!!
Yes, there is also rolling shutter, but not sure if it uses a CMOS sensor..probably though.
And the vignetting is caused by the 35mm Adapter. It was not added in post. It was actually lessened in post.
Thanks for watching!!
Seriously when is a phone ever just a phone. If you can afford to buy an iPhone plus afford to pay for your mobile calls you can afford to buy a decent camera! :-)
so much artifacts !
But what if your phone ring in the middle of a shoot?
BTW, your videos rock! I love all the stop motion work!

I do see one major advantage here using the iPhone as a video camera (apart from holiday look-at-me Facebook updates;-), and that is: Video-Street-Journalism. Yes, you can do with most expensive gear, but then it's back to the studio for editing, but this way, IF you know about shooting with no editing in mind, you can actually produce a worthwhile news clip on the spot and upload!
Question: so the Owle has an external mic that plugs into the iPhone, right? So this could be replaced by another mic, example a tie-clip, or a feed from a news press conference?
