On Sunday, July 18, 2010, the Courage Campaign brought 21,397 petitions to the floor of the California Democratic Party's Executive Board meeting in San Jose. The petitions called on the party to endorse Proposition 19, the initiative on the November 2010 California ballot to legalize and tax cannabis. Robert Cruickshank, Public Policy Director of the Courage Campaign, spoke in support of the endorsement, as did Democratic Assemblymember Tom Ammiano, who is also interviewed here.
