My first shot made with Houdini.
The birds are instanced on a particle system and they cast shadow on a fake plane comped with the real background picture.

wow we can be really harsh after a couple of beers and a long week of work...seriously though...great effort...particlularly for houdini...it can be very tough shifting over from other packages.

if those little tihngs were improved - it would look spot on i reckon !
