I really enjoyed it, but the only problem I would say is what you have already pointed out, the lighting. The color looked very good at the beginning! Good work though throughout.

Not bad at all. I think the setup works well but then once you get into the chase, it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't just shoot at him again once they get closer. I like that the camera work gets shaky and a little out of control once the chase is on, so it's a good start.

Thank you! I appreciate it! Maybe he was out of bullets? Maybe they weren't thinking? Whatever it was I haven't thought of it yet haha! I guess it's not supposed to make sense since the whole idea around this series is supposed to be a Parody of action movies. It was never meant to be a serious film. But just wait for part 2 which will be posted up soon! =) It's bigger! Badder! and yellower!

Pretty good! You kept the fast pace up very well.
I recommend shooting in 24fps, and holding 60fps for your slo-mo shots.
A pretty good homage to detriot! :P

=) Thank you! I really appreciate it! The whole thing was shot in 60i but converted to 24p. This workflow is just so much easier for me, that way I don't have to work with pull-down and all the procedures that come with it.

    What software do you use?
  • Xerxes Sangco 3 months ago
I use Sony Vegas 7. All you have to do when you import the footage is disable resampling after making your project run at 23.97. You'll get almost the same exact results as if you were to film at 24p.
  • ElectroFilms 3 months ago
ok, I use AE CS3, and pulldown is just a few clicks.

lol i bet noone noticed the change of clothing on all the characters hehe.
watched it three times and really liked it but i finally noticed the change of cloting after the third watch so good job.

did you film the clip of them talking in the car from the outside? looks like it but the audio sounds like you were in the car, or a mic was there. im so looking forward to the mic now :)

Thank you! =) I really appreciate it!

I had my friend stick the Mic next to the passengers seat when we recorded. I have an audio extension for my Rode, which was connected to my camera, that allowed me to do this.

    It's a really great mic!

Yea man I just got a Rodemic and I'm lovin it. With my short film i'm workin on I'm (sure) it will come in handy. I might need to re-do some shots so i can have better quality audio, but we will see with time. Time is the major issue with me. The short film I'm workin on is important because it will either get me an internship with this production company here in Cali that works with hollywood, BUT we will see.. =/ But anyways. I love your work and you have great talent. Keep goin man. TK
    Peace...

Thanks man, yea the Rode is great, you'll have alot of fun with it, just make sure you turn it off at the end of the day. I made that mistake and wasted a brand new 9v battery...ugh...
Hey you live in Cali, I live in West Covina if you know where that is.
Anyways good luck with your short film! Keep doing what you love.
