The proposal calls for at least 20 small robots moving about randomly in a room with white floors. Whenever a robot detects a spot of black paint, it drops its own paint splotch. By seeding the process, we can see these dumb robots create complex structures. However, with only 20 robots, the process takes 30 days to complete.
