What kind of tea do you use?
  • anja verdugo 3 months ago
This time I used some organic green tea from Trader Joe's. I haven't done much experimenting with teas, just green and black. I definitely want to go back to using loose leaf tea though, I couldn't believe it when I opened the box and found every tea bag individually wrapped in plastic. Lame!

I love kombucha, but have never seen it made! Mmm, I'm thirsty. Great video!

I left out the final step, which is putting the culture back into the brew. You have to wait until it's cooled, which takes a few hours in such a huge jar. It's so easy! You should try to find a culture and make it yourself, it's much much cheaper than buying it at $3 a bottle.

i've been makin' kombuch for years from the original 'mother' my mother sent me in the mail, i've tried it with every herb, even cayenne, so long as there is at least 4 black teas per batch + a coupla herbals or raw herbal ingredients; your 'mother' looks to be in very good 'nick', never seen a vid of it before, thanx for the show! ;)*
