This was Take29's submission for opencut.org 1.0. We were given footage shot on the Red One camera and asked to edit it as we saw fit. I went for a fairly straightforward edit trying to emphasize performance, tone, and to play with silences.

In our version, it is Ed who is sort of the hero (or anti-hero). For better or for worse, he is in love with and tied to Susannah, and struggles with fighting his own violent impulses while trying to get her back.
