No, they get along ok. Usually the cat just comes up and sniffs the bird, then the bird lunges at her and the cat goes away.

She knows that if she hurts the bird she's in big trouble.

yeah she gets punished by both us and the bird (who bites her) when she looks like she's going to go too far, so she's stopped going too far.
