My A-Z trip to the Balkans (Athens to Zagreb)
In Athens, the Greek capital, members of the elite Evzones light infantry unit provide a 24-hour honour guard, with an hourly guard change at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, off Syntagma Square (Constitution Square) at the foot of the Hellenic Parliament.
Every Sunday at 11am a more complex ceremonial change of guards takes place. I took this video on Sunday, 27 June 2010 with my Panasonic SD700 Camcorder in 1080p mode. Note the relaxed dog - well, it was very hot, about 30 Centigrade!
