A friend of mine lives in China, and he has a one man metal band called Euthanasia. Another friend of his helps him with the Chinese lyrics, and I have volunteered to do the drums, replacing the drum machine tracks with "human" drum patterns. Being China, he cant see You-tube, so I have uploaded this for him and any of his friends who may like to see it.
If you watch it you'll notice that there are different drums coming in at the second pre-chorus... That is in fact me playing them as well. I recorded my session into the Roland TD9 sound module live, then played the recording out to a PC and recorded it to WAV format. I then changed the drum sounds to an 808 drum kit and recorded the same recording to the PC once more. The joys of having an electronic drumkit is that you can amend any drum sounds or volume levels post-session, as long as you remember to keep the recording in the sound module. Very versatile. All reverb effects (on the snare twice before the final chorus, and on the cymbals at the very end) and the final multi track mixdown of the guitar and vocal track, the two drum tracks and the miscellaneous drum mastering tools were all using Adobe soundbooth, then Adobe premiere put the video and the final mixdown together. 16 hours in total... all done in one day. Tired....
Addition at the end of a hip-hop style beat created with a few samples of Brett's guitar and Reason 4.0 doing the rest.
