Girls of Spocom 2010

Spocom 2010 in Long Beach. Video shot entirely with Sony Nex-5 with the 18-55mm kit lens at 55mm. Camera attached to Glidecam HD-2000. Because the camera was so light, I felt it was harder to control than the Panasonic GH-1 on the Glidecam. It's possible the Nex-5 is too light for the HD-2000 since it is rated for 2-6 lbs. Focusing was also a bit off. Sometimes, I had the subject right in the middle of the frame, but the camera refused to focus on the subject but focused instead on the background. It could be due to the fact the subject had low lighting while the background was well lit. For the size and portability that the Nex-5 offers; however, the video quality is pretty nice.
