OrthoPets was contacted by CSU Vet Teaching Hospital to help with this baby foal. Her name is Jane, and she was born 2 weeks early. When she was born her front legs and back legs joints were not matured. CSU casted the tarsal and carpal region for several weeks, to enable the joints to form normally. Three of the four legs, did return to normal, while the front right fetlock joint (wrists) remained affected. The OrthoPets brace provides the variable extension assist. She will need to wear this device for the next 3-5 weeks. You can see from her BEFORE videos, she is already walking much better. We will be working with her for the several weeks, in hopes that she will soon be walking normal.
