On our last day in Yellowstone we finally ran across this herd of Elk. Elk are the most abundant large mammal found in Yellowstone National Park, with more than 30,000 from 7-8 different herds, so it was surprising to me that I would see a Bald Eagle and a family of Grizzly bears before Elk.
