This is so beautifully done! I think I saw one when I was on the beach. Suddenly the sand moved quickly, as if it were a big mole. I'm happy now to know that it was a Graboid and that I should be glad to be still alive.

  • Beautiful stuff :-) You should do a tour to Norway and study the troll's there. I am sure you could put the old folklore into good entertainment, just like this one. Good stuff :-D

The artistic style is wonderful. I love the science aspect.
How did you create the look of the scenery?
  • Frank Robnik 1 year ago
i was mostly inspired by the color, form and typography of old educational films from the 50s and 60s. high contrast, simple shapes, partial monochrome, ...

Lovely. I remember the old days - scratchy old films and the dreaded "film strip" which was just a roll of scratchy old slides. We didn't know any better. Well made Frank.

Lamentably, serious studies of Graboids have declined precipitously in recent years due to lack of funding. Yet, only well-grounded, intensive research can uncover the many dynamic, inter-related components of Graboid ecology so necessary for enhancing basic understanding of our complex natural world.
