Fantastic idea. I'm thinking a lot about body/video interaction myself at the moment. This is a great example.

We had infrared light (from LED's) pointing down on the floor, and one infrared camera in the roof also pointing down.

the whole concept was to avoid having any gadgets mounted on the dancers themselves. the only thing to take into consideration was how the colours of the clothes turned up in the infrared spectrum, so we had to find cloth that turned up black, holding samples in front of an ir-only-camera :)
