PearlMouse

This video was made as part of my 'PearlMouse' project. The PearlMouse is a computer mouse designed to prevent hand aches and pains.

It is a common problem for people to suffer from hand and arm aches due to overusing their computer mouse. It's often referred to as Computer Mouse Hand Fatigue (CMHF). The most common form of the injury occurs when the Median Nerve, running from the arm to the hand, gets squeezed near the wrist, causing pain, tingling, numbness and weakness in the hand, wrist and arm.

The top surface of the 'Pearl Mouse' is designed to pivot left, right, back and forth, allowing the user to flex, extend and relax their wrist all while still using the mouse, thus preventing the median nerve from being squeezed.
