In 2007, Minna Zielonka-Packer, a filmmaker and child of Holocaust survivors, was awarded as an American Fulbright to Poloand to shoot a narrative film about a Jewish dwarf photographer, who her father knew from childhood. The man, and the film, was called "The Liliput".
Over the course of a year, Minna and her daughter, Mimi, travelled the country that their ancestors called home. Haunted by history, but uplifted by the people they meet, they journey together across a Poland pockmarked by the past. The revelations and encounters they have form the tapestry of this modern Jewish story.
This is but a sample of this incredibly rich and enlightening experience.
