At Susan and William Jones’ home this week, variously colored extension cords snaked across the exposed subfloor, running juice from a wooden four-by-four planted in the front yard to eight or more industrial dehumidifiers and about a dozen fans. The house is clean now, stripped down to studs, and the Joneses are just waiting for things to dry as they recover from flooding in June 2008.
