80. Anthony Horowitz at Hong Kong Book Fair
1 year ago
Supporting British, Hong Kong and Chinese links through literature, the British Council invited two popular British authors, Anthony Horowitz and James Fenton, to the world's largest book fair in Hong Kong this July.

Reflecting on how Asia inspired his work, Anthony Horowitz captivated a young 250-strong audience who sat enthralled by tales of his Hong Kong experiences and how he finds solace in writing, using his imagination to escape reality.

The Hong Kong Chinese fans showed their appreciation by bursting into rapturous applause and laugher as Anthony recounted frank but amusing accounts of his childhood and how it inspired him to write crime and mystery novels. His candid and engaging approach elicited many enthusiastic questions from young fans keen to know the secret to writing the next smash hit.
