Umarbek Pulodov was a child during the Tajik civil war.When he was six he experienced a clustermunition strike that killed and injured several members of his family. Pulodov lost an eye in the bombing and his hand was injured.

“We want to contribute our thoughts and knowledge to the Oslo Process to assure that decision-makers will
take into consideration the real needs of cluster munitions survivors, including those of their families and
communities,” said Pulodov during the civil society forum at the Belgrade Conference in October 2007.
Pulodov is a university student in Dushanbe. He organized campaigning events in the Rasht district and has campaigned at international level since 2007. He speaks Tajik, Russian and English.
